About RevX

Built for the people who own it.

RevX is the premier professional community for legal revenue operations — built from the ground up for the people who own revenue performance inside law firms.
What Is RevX

The community that never existed — until now.

RevX is the premier professional association for the people who own revenue performance inside leading law firms. Not adjacent roles. Not broad audiences. Operators.

For decades, revenue operations professionals in the legal industry have done sophisticated, high-stakes work without a dedicated home — no peer network built specifically for them, no knowledge hub that reflects their reality, no room where the actual decision-makers gather together.

RevX was built to be that room: a peer network, a knowledge hub, dedicated platform user groups, topical discussion forums, and a trusted professional home — all in one place, built specifically for legal revenue professionals.

RevX is not a conference. It is not a vendor-led community. It is not a general association with thousands of loosely connected members. It is a controlled, high-trust community of practitioners who are intentional about where they show up.

Peer Network

Vetted, active professionals across every legal revenue function — the people who understand what you're navigating because they're navigating it too.

Why RevX

It’s called RevX for a reason.

RevX sits at that intersection.

Because revenue in law firms is no longer static.

And the playbook no longer reflects how the work actually gets done.

RevX is where the professionals responsible for revenue performance come to exchange insight, challenge assumptions, and advance the work.

Not theory. Not recycled best practices. Operators. In the work. Moving it forward.
Revenue, multiplied by what’s next.
Our Mission

When revenue professionals come together, everyone moves forward.

RevX exists to bring revenue operations professionals into meaningful conversation — where ideas are exchanged, challenges are addressed collectively, and lasting professional relationships are built. It is a community designed to elevate the profession and empower its members to grow, lead, and help shape the future of revenue operations.
Our Vision

The premier professional home for legal revenue leaders.

A world where every legal revenue professional — regardless of firm size or title — has access to a trusted network, the collective knowledge of their peers, and a community that reflects the sophistication and importance of the work they do. RevX is building the infrastructure for a profession that has long deserved it.

Founder Story

He went looking for a professional community. There wasn't one.

John began his legal career in 1992 as a creditors' rights attorney — first as an associate, then later as a partner at his own firm. He represented an impressive range of clients, including the largest captive finance company for a major automobile manufacturer, as well as universities and colleges, hospitals, and medical providers, among other businesses. He maintained an extensive trial and motion practice, litigating and disposing of matters throughout the state of Wisconsin.

In 2007, John fulfilled a long-held dream. Having completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, Chicago had always called to him professionally — and when the opportunity arose to join a large Chicago law firm in a revenue operations role, he answered it, commuting by Amtrak from the Milwaukee area. And he did what most professionals do when entering a new field: he looked for a professional community. Peers who understood the work. A place to ask hard questions, compare notes, and learn from people navigating the same terrain. He found that no such association existed for revenue operations professionals in law firms.

So he built one himself. He created a Google Group called Law Firm Credit & Collections — a loose but active network that grew to more than 250 members, mostly Chicago colleagues at first, then professionals at firms across the country as his network expanded. It was informal, imperfect, and entirely peer-driven. And it worked. People showed up because they needed it.

"The most valuable insights — and the most meaningful progress — often emerge from shared experience."
That early experiment never left him. Over the following years, John built deep expertise inside the financial operations of AmLaw 200 law firms — partnering closely with billing, credit, and collections teams, driving process improvements through technology and best practices, and helping teams operate with greater clarity and alignment. That rare perspective — bridging legal expertise with operational leadership — remained central to everything he built.

He became deeply engaged in the broader professional community — serving as an officer and Past President of ALA Chicago, and now as Chair of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) Connect Law Firm Forum, a national association of legal credit and collections professionals. Through writing, speaking, and peer collaboration, one conviction kept deepening: the communities built around shared professional experience are where real change happens.

RevX is the culmination of everything that started with that Google Group. Not a loose network, but a purpose-built professional home — with the infrastructure, the standards, and the community that legal revenue professionals have always deserved. It is founded on a simple but powerful belief: that when revenue operations professionals come together, everyone moves forward.

Outside the office, John enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also volunteers with his certified therapy dog, Leo, an English Cream Golden Retriever — visiting nursing homes, schools, colleges, libraries, and workplaces, bringing comfort, connection, and moments of joy to the communities they serve.
